Upgrade Advice and Notations

The following is in reference to:

Three Upgrade Packages

Speakeasy Solutions Inc. offers the following three upgrade packages to choose from:

• Dragon SeS commands and samples (not available for Dragon NaturallySpeaking Premium)

Speakeasy Solutions Inc. recommends these absolute minimum PC hardware requirements.

How to Order

Speakeasy Solutions Inc. provides products and service to users in Canada only. If you are outside of Canada, please visit the main Nuance website. Thank you for your understanding.

1. Contact us directly or use the order form.
2. You will be sent an estimate to verify your current information, authorize and a request for payment via cheque, INTERAC e-transfer or credit card.
3. Your package will be provided, and we will contact you to book any service appointments ordered.

Upgrading Tips for Dragon Medical & Dragon NaturallySpeaking

Speakeasy Solutions Inc. always recommends creating a new user profile with a new version of Dragon (i.e. Dragon Medical Practice Edition, and Dragon NaturallySpeaking Professional).

1. Backup or export a copy of your user profile before you do anything else.
2. Perform any typical Dragon or application preinstallation routines that you may employ.
3. Install Dragon, taking into account any Dragon or application installation routines.
4. Upgrade your existing user profile(s).
5. Export your custom word list and/or commands from your upgraded user profile (save these temporarily to your desktop for convenience). We do not recommend exporting your entire vocabulary as Nuance does change the vocabulary considerably from version to version and it’s far more advantageous to begin with the new version’s vocabulary.
6. Create your new version user profile.
7. Set up your preferred Dragon options.
8. Import your exported custom word list and/or commands from your upgraded user profile.
9. Engage any Dragon profile enhancing features you would with a new user profile.
10. Add any additional used sound sources to your user profile (i.e. other devices such as a digital voice recorder, USB or Bluetooth wireless microphone etc.).
11. Export a copy of your user profile – the results of the above will yield an excellent Known Good or starting point in future should you require.
