Philips SpeechMike Microphone Firmware Updates

Philips Speech Processing dictation solutions releases firmware upgrades for the following products:

  • SpeechMike Premium Air SMP4000 series (incl. Docking station): FW v4.66
  • SpeechMike Premium Touch SMP3700/3800 series: FW v3.67
  • SpeechMike Premium LFH3500 series: FW v3.67
  • AirBridge ACC4100: FW v1.12
  • Speech One PSM6000 Headset series (including accessories): FW v5.30

More Reliable Firmware Upgrade Process

The firmware upgrade process is more reliable in that the device also allows a firmware upgrade in playback mode.

Improved Windows 10 Compatibility

With the latest Windows 10 release, Microsoft changed the USB audio interface. As a result, Windows 10 no longer accepted the reported default microphone level of the device during the first connection and the microphone level was set to zero (0).

To overcome this issue, the firmware has been adapted in order to guarantee that the correct microphone level is now reported to the USB host.

Improved SpeechOne Charging Indication

Due to wrongly displayed charging status indicators, the headset sometimes was not fully charged. This was now adapted in order to  guarantee the full battery runtime for daily use.

Availability

The firmware versions are now available for manual download & installation. View our blog post, “How to Update the Philips SpeechMike Firmware“, for further links and information.

For safety reasons automatic firmware upgrades via SpeechControl will be enabled approximately one week from now.
