USB microphones pass the audio directly to your computer. Even wireless microphone solutions require the use of a USB port.

Microphones are available in wired and wireless models.

Hand-held microphones are useful for numerous short bursts of dictation throughout the day without the need for being hands-free, or if a headset is bothersome.

Headset microphones are useful if the user dictates only a couple of times per day or needs to work hands-free (i.e. physically handling charts and notes).
